DOVICO Timesheet version 9 contains 2 system reports which are not normally available in the Reports Explorer and therefore are not available to be edited. These 2 reports are the Billing and Bulk Time Move Details reports.
These reports can be made available for editing/customization using the following steps:
To edit a system report:
- Locate and open the web.config file. The file is normally located under C: \Inetpub\wwwroot\dovtimesheet
- Set the "ShowSystemReportsFolder" setting value to True. The setting is located near the very end of the file.
- Save and close the web.config file.
- Warning: Modifying the web.config file may cause users currently logged into DOVICO Timesheet to be automatically logged out.
- From the Reports Explorer view, the System Reports folder should now appear.
- Click on the System Report Folder.
- Select the report to export, right click and choose Create Custom Report.
- Open the .rpt file. Crystal Reports will now open the report for editing.
- When you have completed editing the file, select File, Save.
- In Reports Explorer, locate and click on the report to update.
- Right click and select the Report Properties option.
- Check the Update Report check box.
- Click the Browse button and navigate to the edited report (.rpt file).
- Click on the report and select Open.
- Click OK.
IMPORTANT: As a safety precaution you should return the "ShowSystemReportsFolder" setting value back to False.
