The information in this article applies to:

  • DOVICO Timesheet version 9

See KBase article DV1026 for instructions when using older versions of DOVICO Timesheet or Track-IT Suite.

DOVICO Timesheet version 9 contains 2 system reports which are not normally available in the Reports Explorer and therefore are not available to be edited. These 2 reports are the Billing and Bulk Time Move Details reports.

These reports can be made available for editing/customization using the following steps:

    To edit a system report:

  1. Locate and open the web.config file. The file is normally located under C: \Inetpub\wwwroot\dovtimesheet
  2. Set the "ShowSystemReportsFolder" setting value to True. The setting is located near the very end of the file.
  3. Save and close the web.config file.
  4. Warning: Modifying the web.config file may cause users currently logged into DOVICO Timesheet to be automatically logged out.
  5. From the Reports Explorer view, the System Reports folder should now appear.
  6. Click on the System Report Folder.
  7. Select the report to export, right click and choose Create Custom Report.
  8. Open the .rpt file. Crystal Reports will now open the report for editing.
  9. When you have completed editing the file, select File, Save.
  10. In Reports Explorer, locate and click on the report to update.
  11. Right click and select the Report Properties option.
  12. Check the Update Report check box.
  13. Click the Browse button and navigate to the edited report (.rpt file).
  14. Click on the report and select Open.
  15. Click OK.

IMPORTANT: As a safety precaution you should return the "ShowSystemReportsFolder" setting value back to False.
