DV1021 - Incorrect version of Crystal Reports

The information in this article applies to:

• DOVICO Timesheet 8 and above
• Crystal Reports

Symptoms:

While attempting to create a custom report from the Reports Explorer view, a message is displayed stating "This report was created with a version of Crystal Reports which is later than the version you are running. Some features used in this report may not be supported."

Cause:

DOVICO Timesheet requires Crystal Reports 9 and the latest Crystal Reports hot fixes to be applied.

Resolution:

If you are using a version of Crystal Reports that is older then version 9, then you will need to upgrade Crystal Reports. However, if you are using Crystal Reports version 9.x then you will need to apply the latest Crystal Reports Hot fixes.

To apply the latest Crystal Reports Hot fixes: 

1. Go to http://support.crystaldecisions.com/updates/
2. Choose Crystal Reports, and for Product version choose 9, and for File type choose HotFix.
3. Download and install the latest Main Program Files update, and the latest Developer Files update and install both of them.
4. You are now ready to create custom reports.
